Yep, 1km walk/300ft climb and in flyable in ANY wind direction not to mention that you can launch and fly all the way down to the valley floor inall winds :-) It's a great site for early thermal training as well. Give me a call next time you are in the area.. Nine days flying this month so far.. it's certainly heading to be another record year for new students!
Hi Joe, the chap that filmed me is a loacl press photographer I jut met, (I am a commercial photographer) after the video (with the best bit of the evening lighting) I did some 'Precision Paragliding' flying for him to shoot press shots, I hope to get copies of the images and will edit them into a YouTube clip... should be images of me 'wave skimming' as 6" (or less) coming DOWN wind back to the rocks below the sea wall... If the CD does not arrive next week I will give him a call... could look even more 'intresting' than the video!
Hi Joe, 25 days is a bit out of date now...! As I've flown 11 days so far in just this month, flying includes Dual Control Tandem training with a total of five new students, Aprils flying hours so far are up to about 15 hrs so if the year continues to be so good it should be yet another 500+ hr year! :-)
Hi Joe, just editing todays video footage just now, I would need to count the days compared with this time of the year.. but it is certainly looking to be yet aother record year. Last year was over 600 hrs flying/more than 240 days with ZERO 'non-flown' days... Today due to work I did not get out till 5:30, still flew three sites ending up flying 'feet wet' the lift of the sea ridge/buildings at Newport for 40 mins (one flight) landing at sunset. By the morning I should have 365 clips on my YouTube site (ParaVideo.co.uk) so you can watch a new clip every day of the year!
Hi I've had a decent amount of flying, mind you student training days have been a bit restricted with the wet & windy weather.
So far this year at the club we have had about 25 flying days which is a bit down on some years but better than others :-)
I've been adding a whole bunch of new video clips on YouTube you can see both the latest ones and all our other clips at www 'dot' ParaVideo 'dot' co 'dot' uk.
