I know there are more than a few in the sport that agree with Dell's own opinion of his flying 'standard'... but in Scotland (and a few other places!) he is AKA Dell the "Chicken Flapper", so all I can say is I would NOT 'sign off' a student that had as poor understanding of good aviation practice as Dell generaly display's! If you study Dell's clips you will see he uses almost no 'Wing Warp' or direct pitch control and instead has a strong tendency to just 'bounce' his hands up and down on the brakes, still at least the glider is very forgiving of poor pilot input!
